The Heritage Hotel, Golf, Spa, & Conference Center sits near the scenic Litchfield Hills of Connecticut, almost directly in the center of the state. We are an ideal location between New York & Boston, from which to explore everything from the historic seaside to the scenic Appalachian Mountains. The New England countryside with lush forests, meandering rivers, and rolling hills sets the tone of the 163-room hotel. We offer a variety of amenities including a golf course, two heated saltwater pools (one indoor), an expansive athletic club & spa, & on-site dining in our Tavern or Pool Bar (seasonal). We have 21 meeting rooms available to cater to meetings from 10-250 guests. An intimate vineyard was established in 2018 with specially selected chardonnay & cabernet sauvignon wine grapes. Nearby attractions include the Quassy Amusement & Water Park, many running, hiking, & cycling trails, the Litchfield Distillery, an antiquing trail, and much more.

Location and Directions:
The hotel is located amid beautiful Connecticut countryside two miles off Exit 15 of I-84, between Danbury and Waterbury, and about 90 minutes from New York City and 120 minutes from Boston.
Brand Affiliation: The Heritage Hotel, Golf, Spa & Conference Center is a BW Premier Hotel and as such all guests paying qualifying rates can earn BW Rewards, which can then be redeemed for future stays at the Heritage Hotel, Golf, Spa & Conference Center or any Best Western hotel.
Rooms: 160 guest rooms plus 3 two-room suites. All feature a king or two double beds, Sealy beds, flat-screen TVs with multiple cable channels, safe, work desk and ergonomic chair, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, coffee/tea maker (Mini-refrigerator, microwave oven, rollaway (fee), crib available upon request)
The Spa: Known for exceptional services by local residents and hotel guests, The Spa at the Heritage Hotel is open year-round and features 6 treatment rooms including a couples massage room, 2 showers, and a relaxation room. Services offered in this serene environment by the professional staff are massage therapy, facials, waxing, nail and make-up services, and body treatments. The Spa specializes in personalized and group programs.
Riverview Athletic Club: The 8,000 square-foot world-class Athletic Center features indoor and outdoor heated saltwater swimming pools, hot tub, steam rooms, saunas, men’s and ladies' locker rooms with showers, plus state-of-the-art strength and core and cardio equipment. We offer fitness classes of varying degrees of intensity, as well as pedal bikes for rent and miles of hiking and biking trails immediately around the hotel. Annual, seasonal, and monthly membership programs are available.
Dining: Full-service breakfast is served daily for a fee. The Tavern is open daily for dinner, cocktails, & local New England brews (open for lunch on weekends). Our seasonal poolside bar offers you're favorite summertime cocktails and food. The Southbury area boasts many casual, fine dining, and ethnic restaurants nearby.
Conferences and Meetings: With 21 meeting rooms totaling 28,000 square feet plus unique outdoor function areas. All meeting rooms offer natural lighting, audio-visual equipment, teleconferencing, solid walls for noise suppression, and ergonomic chairs. From the Executive Boardroom to the 2,500 square foot amphitheater and 4,300 square foot Timbers ballroom, the hotel can accommodate groups from 10-250 persons.
Weddings and Social Events: Our hotel wedding venues and services are fully tailored to your wishes and needs. Allow us to host an unforgettable bridal shower or bachelor/bachelorette party. Once the big weekend arrives, we can see to everything from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony, reception, and send-away brunch.
Golf: Guests can enjoy golf at the Pomperaug Golf Club with its 9-hole, USGA-rated, par 36 course and putting green.
The Vineyard: A total of 580 grape vines were planted in April 2018 in two vineyards behind Timbers and the Terrace Patio. Grape varietals include Marquette – a hybrid of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir – and a Chardonnay hybrid.
Internet: high-speed wireless Internet access is available in rooms and throughout the hotel.
Pets (up to 2 pets weighing less than 80 lb. only) are welcome at the Heritage Hotel and incur a fee of $55/pet per stay. Service dogs are exempt from this policy and fee.
Accessibility for Disabled Guests: The hotel is accessible for physically disabled guests with seven sleeping rooms and bathrooms equipped for wheelchairs. Each also has a strobe light emergency warning system for the hearing impaired. Public areas including swimming pools and the athletic club meeting rooms are accessible. There are six parking spots dedicated for the handicapped.
Resort Fee: Mandatory Resort fee of $8 + tax ($9.05) per room per night applies. The Resort Fee covers access to the health and fitness center, indoor and outdoor (seasonal) saltwater pools, & coffee in the morning.
Tax: Current tax rate is 15% charged on the room rate (subject to change). Food and beverages are charged the state sales tax of 6.35%.
Policies: Check-in at 4pm. Check-out at 11am. At least one registering guest must be 21 years or older. Maximum room occupancy is 4 persons. Maximum of one rollaway (fee) per room (King rooms only). Cribs are available upon request at no charge. Cancellations received less than 48 hours before arrival date and No-Shows will be charged 1-night room and tax.
Early check-out will be charged the minimum cancellation fee of 1-night room & tax. Self-parking is free.
